Anne and I are going to a screening of Mehret this Thursday in Brooklyn.

"Love and sex are a life-and-death struggle for the black women Dr.
Mehret Mandefro treats in the South Bronx. The rate of HIV-infection
among them is rising disproportionately. To find out why, Mehret
ventures outside the hospital and into her patients' lives. Her
journey takes her even further when she decides to return to Ethiopia,
her birthplace."
